Poll question: Scully and Mulder. Dems or Repugs?
I beleive that Scully, the daughter of an admiral and growing up in San Siego Naval housing is a lifelong repug.

Mulder on the other hand grew up in New England and the son of State Dept. employee whom which he had a strained relationship with, has the looks of a Dem.

2. Yes.
I seriously doubt that Mulder ever voted in his life.

4. My take:
Mulder: left-leaning Libertarian (all govt is evil blah blah). Ditto for the Lone Gunmen.
Scully: DLC Dem at first, Dean Dem towards end of show.
Skinner: Same as Scully.

5. No effin' way is Scully a repug
She's way too much about women's rights and women filling non-traditional roles in society for her to be a repug. And we all know how frickin' stubborn she is, so even if her fam was repug, she probably went the opposite way just to spite them.

Also, she's not very religious. She may be spiritual, but she's not religious in the way right wingers are. True, she wears a cross around her neck, but that doesn't symbolize her faith in the church.

7. Ooh, a topic close to my heart.
Mulder = Apolitcal. He probably believes that it doesn't matter who's in the White House because there are more powerful organizations operating behind the scenes. Although didn't he have an ally in the Senate who was a Dem?

Scully = Democrat. A strong believer in science, women's issues, etc.

Skinner = Democrat. He always struck me as someone who leans left but works in a world where the right-wing reigns.

The Lone Gunmen = Libertarian Art Bell types. They trust neither Republicans or Democrats.

Cigarette Smoking Man = Republican. I'm still convinced he was based on George H.W. Bush.

And even though I can't stand their characters...

Doggett = Republican.

Reyes = Democrat. She is President Bartlet's daughter, after all.

8. Scully is too attractive to be a Repugnican.
What is it about her that makes me crazy?
