9. Sure
When I was 8 years old I was in a car accident (a doctor coming off of a super long shift Urrrrr!) where someone was asleep at the wheel and hit straight into our car. He hit right where I was so 6 people in the car and I was the only one severely hurt. I was asleep when it happened and then knocked unconcious and then in a coma for two months. My head was cracked in half, both jaws broken, totaled the right side of my face/head and some brain had to be taken out (frontal lobe) because of green plastic in it. 18 reconstructive surgeries up until I was age 17. I'm perfectly fine and have a Masters and post grad work but it was hell being a child with all that crap.

My brothers and family tell me stories but I still don't really remember anything before the accident... and because of selective memory :) I don't remember much the year after the accident either.

31. That's amazing.
I'm SOOOO sorry for your ordeal. What a loss. Your parents must have been just beside themselves.

Driving while tired is just as bad as driving drunk, IMO.

I wish that people would think each and every time they get behind the wheel, "I could kill someone or change someone's life today."

34. Being a mother myself now
I can't imagine how my mom did it. I was sitting right behind her in the backseat passenger side and after the car stopped spinning she looked at my dad, then step sister sitting beside me and then my brothers in the back of the station wagon and then looked over her seat at me. She jumped into the back seat took a pillow and literally held my head together until the helicopter came. Calm in crisis is a good thing to have.

2. answers
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?
lost 130 pounds - went from a size 22/24 to a size 8

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?
My best friend and I would go around the house shutting all the doors when my little brother was big enough to walk but couldn't reach the doorknobs. Drove him NUTS.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?
NO SEX THREADS!

Sorry, I can't answer, my momma lurks. ;)

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?
Actually took the time to think about decorating when I moved into my new apartment. (Instead of just throwing my stuff anywhere)

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?
Improvement. Most people who think they're excellent...aren't. But people who are constantly striving to get better - them I can respect.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?
I don't watch much at all - some nights none. The best thing I watch is figure skating. The worst - the Sunday morning talking head shows.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?
I literally have no idea because I read so much on the internet - no page numbers.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?
Yup. Several. I haven't really updated in over a year or more. The main url is http://www.ravenswing.com/EVILTWINS

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?
Not so much 5 year plans, but I am an obsessive long-term planner. Usually they end up getting totally screwed up by life. :) The plan to lose weight went pretty well. The plan to figure out what I want to do with my life and where I want to be...still in progress.

10) How spontaneous are you?
Not very. It's one of the things I'm working on.

3. My own answers:
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

Becoming a mom

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

I lied to my mom about my dad wanting us to eat inside a pizza place, instead of picking up the pizza, because I didn't think she believed me when I said they had new tables and chairs in the restaurant.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

I've cheated on more than one boyfriend/girlfriend.

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

Having a baby is pretty creative. Other than that, I did write a couple songs. I used to write more, but things change.

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Improvement. Improvement requires caring and effort, while excellence can be innate.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

I watch about an hour a day. The worst thing I watch regularly is Fear Factor. (I love it. I can't help it.) The best thing I watch regularly is Frontline.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

I probably read 100 pages per week, mostly newspaper articles and children's books.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?

I have a political website that I haven't updated in AGES!! Not worth giving the URL.

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

I made a 5-year plan for myself about 5 years ago. I wanted to get out of bartending, advance in a career in non-profit development, get married, have a baby, and make enough money so my husband could be a stay-at-home-dad. I've done all of those! :D

10) How spontaneous are you?

Not very. I used to be very, but now I plan everything.

6. I love these too.
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?
Lost 70 pounds (half was baby weight) and the other half I needed to lose for years.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?
Put lipstick and a wig on my disabled brother.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?
I'm managing to have an amicable and civil divorce.

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?
Improvement because growth is essential. Even the best at whatever can't remain the best if they stagnate.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?
3 hours a week maybe- usually movies or something science related
worst thing- occasionally an E- Behind the Music
best thing- Six Feet Under

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?
300-400- mostly books, then newspapers, then magazines

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?
I used to have a homepage at Ivillage, but it expired or something because I went to it one day last year and *poof* it was gone. I had a blog for awhile that was anonymous, but public. Then I just decided to make it a private journal.

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?
Yes, I achieve what I always set out to achieve. I'm very driven and expect a lot out of myself. I have another five year plan as well.

10) How spontaneous are you?
Not very. Occasionally, but overall, not much.

10. My answers
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

Fought for, and attained, custody of my two children. They are improving all of the time.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

Shoplifted some candy when my mom turned her back.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

I'd hate to have your thread shut down on account of me. If you really want to know, you'll have to ask in a private message. :P~

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

Hard telling, I work in a creative field. Hmmm...

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Improvement. With it, you can attain excellence eventually. Settling for anything less than improvement leads to stagnation.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

Maybe 8 hours a week, except during college football season. Best thing? Whatever HBO's showing on Sunday. Worst? Hmmm, probably "30 Minute Meals" because I am infatuated with Rachel Ray's tush.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

Gee, tough question. I do read a lot. I usually read 3 or 4 books at the same time, and a few magazines a week, as well. I also read voraciously online.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?

Yes, I do. I have other folks who help me update it. How often depends on the season (it's a sports site). http://www.toledorocketfans.com/

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

No.

10) How spontaneous are you?

Very.

13. My answers:
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

Made Dean's List--twice. It never hurts to have good grades.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

I can't remember back that far...the worst I can think of is how I tortured the poor girls in kindergarten with my friends.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

Well...I'm not really the naughty type, so I would have to say that it was when I snuck into a movie with my friends last summer.

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

I've been writing fiction (and no, it's not available for reading, because I'm embarrassed).

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Improvement. I know this from experience--I had an AWFUL first semester in college, but I got my act together, and my grades showed it. Improvement is much better for your psyche because it allows you to feel that sense of accomplishment that is needed to reach excellence.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

Hoo boy...as a college student, I'd have to say about 6 hrs of TV a day--I'm a multitasker though, so that figure's a bit misleading. The worst thing I watch? Howard Stern. Best? Family Guy, Futurama, the Simpsons...and "The OC."

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

I don't get to read much anymore...but there were times when I got to read whole books in a matter of three days--and we're not talking 200 pages; but 400-page monsters. Newspapers and some political books are the norm now.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?

No personal website--I'm hoping to get some bandwidth for my birthday, though.

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

"Five...year...plan?????" You're talking to a college student! Next question!

10) How spontaneous are you?

Not at all. I don't do ANYTHING without agonizing over it first.

15. Some random answers
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

I got honorably discharged from the Army.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

Nearly set the house on fire by making match rockets.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

Danced naked on tables in a Korean bar.

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

I taught myself to play classical guitar.

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Improvement - it takes planning, commitment, and willpower. Excellence is stagnant, improvement is continuous.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

I have a couple shows I watch each week, but I don't like to veg out or channel surf. Best - Carnivale (or Iron Chef - tough choice). Worst - I used to watch 24, but I'm over it.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

Maybe 500-600 pages a week. I like to read a book during lunch and clear my head.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?

Nope. Never really saw the need for one.

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

Same as number 8.

10) How spontaneous are you?

Depends on the situation. If its 'what should we do tonight?' I'm up for anything. If its 'where should we go for vacation?' I need some planning.

1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?
Lots: graduated college, made dean's list with 24 credit hours, became a dad

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?
I don't remember any particular thing, I was pretty good. I took a roll of lifesavers at the check out one time.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?
 I don't want the thread locked either, let's just say I probably won't be able to run for office any time soon

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?
I'm trying to teach myself guitar, but that doesn't feel very creative :( so I'd say building a kit radio (receive and transmit)

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why? Improvement, because that's how you can achieve excellence!

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch? Very little, our daughter watches ~2hrs a day, so I get Sesame Street and other PBS/Disney stuff in the background but I don't actively watch much. I miss the daily show though

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?
Not sure on how much, but a fair amount. Mostly online, otherwise books.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL? I had a personal site when I was in school, but since I graduated they took it down, so not right now.

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do? Had a rough 5 year plan, life shot holes in it. We're working on a family plan, but we don't have anything figured out yet :D

10) How spontaneous are you?
Fairly, but having kids makes it harder

40. Yup, having kids pretty much...
...makes it impossible to be spontaneous. You have to have every little thing worked out.

I moved to Austin all alone, but Austin is easy!

When I moved to NYC, I was alone but my best friend was here and she helped me a lot!

20. Well, here we go.
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

I've been serving overseas on an Air Force base as an intelligence analyst, and I've had some impact on real-world events.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

Crossed a set of railroad tracks to play with friends...my mom was pissed.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

I've signed a non-disclosure agreement....

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

I can't reveal details, but I changed the workings of my office and cut down what used to take two hours to about 15 minutes

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Excellence. Get it done right the first time, and have no worries about improving it.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

I don't watch much outside of a few shows and sports. I'd say the worst thing I watch is Survivor. Best thing - Pardon the Interruption. :D

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

Being overseas, its hard to get timely updated magazines and newspapers. I do peruse the online versions of the Washington Post, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, L.A. Times, and New York Times on a somewhat daily basis.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?

Nope.

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

Yep. 6 years ago, when I enlisted. Everything has fallen into place (except the being sent overseas part)

10) How spontaneous are you?

Very. Drives my wife nuts.

I've always been a little overweight, but I never really worried about it, but after being in the car accident and then having the baby, I'm seriously overweight now. I try to watch what I eat and be more active, but it's hard with my job and the baby to plan well.

1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

I wrote a short story that I'm quite proud of. I also grow my own vegetables and I'm proud of that too even though I don't like vegetables.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

For real? Tried to seduce my best friend's dad. I didn't know what I wanted to do but knew I wanted to do something.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

It'd be easier to answer what I haven't done.

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

The short story I wrote.

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Improvement. I don't really believe excellence is possible and even if it is, it's kind of the end of the story right?

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

I don't watch much TV. Worst thing? Wrestling. I love it. I berate myself for loving it , but I do. Right now, I think Six Feet Under qualifies as best. And I'm a big fan of Sex and The City - watching DVDs.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

I can't even begin to estimate that. I read voraciously, constantly. Mostly books, but I'll even read the list of ingredients on shampoo bottles if I've nothing else.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?

Yes. Almost never, there's a problem that apparently is unfixable that keeps me out. http://users2.ev1.net/~khashka/index.html

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

No. 5 year plans are for communist agricultural collectives. When I become a communist agricultural collective I am sure I will make one.

10) How spontaneous are you?

Not very in most of my life. But in certain situations....

Khash.

23. Hrmmm... Okay
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of?

Took and passed the certified Sous Chef exam. I like to think my mother was watching over me somewhere and very proud.

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six?

Probably my miscellaneous ‘bathroom chemistry’ experiments. I never blew anything up or caused injury, but I rendered useless several household products and likely cost the family a bundle of cash in frequent replacement and clean-up costs.

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16?

I don’t think of sexuality as ‘naughty.’ So in spite of the popularity of suggesting something along that line, I’d have to say it would be something different. A prank I pulled on a coworker comes to mind. :7

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year?

Countless poems, myriad short stories, a paint-job or two, some photography, all kinds of stuff.

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why?

Improvement. Excellence seems to imply some sort of natural facility. Improvement implies education.

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch?

I don’t really have a whole lot of time for television, but I do enjoy unwinding to some for a short while in the evening. The worst thing is probably “That 70’s Show.” I just like the humour, the characters and the strange nostalgia for a truly tacky period in cultural history. The best thing is probably “Lost.” The plot twists are engaging. It’s not your standard Gilligan’s Island type show.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines?

Good Lord, I couldn’t possibly keep track. Heaps. Vast heaps. Mostly books, but also screen pages and assignments my students have handed in or are working on.

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL?
Yes, it’s been a while. I should really make some time for some updates. http://edgewise.org/Edgewise.html

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do?

Not in a while. I’ve been nursing some old psychic wounds and letting myself do some free-floating. Maybe it’s time to re-examine, make something manifest.

10) How spontaneous are you?

I can be quite spontaneous. I can also be fairly predictable. It goes in waves, I think.

1. I'm proud of the fact that I didn't marry that asshole and I got my investment out of our home even though it nearly killed me.
2. Show someone my "thing".
3. Get a lap dance at a strip bar.
4. I made a book to honor my boyfriend's and my relationship and we draw together a lot.
5. Improvement. I like to do a lot of things and I can never be excellent at any of them because there isn't enough time to excel at any one. But I can improve on each one as I go along.
6. I'm watching a lot right now because it's ACC Basketball season and there are games on all the time. I do regularly watch The Daily Show and
the History Channel ( if it is real history and not sensationalism)or the like.
7. I read mostly books and I do crossword puzzles constantly because I am a total word freak.
8. No website yet. Money is too tight...but I'd like one someday.
9. I can't even make a one month plan-but I did have the goal a few years ago to double my earnings and I did that...but that's not saying much!!!
10. I have always been very spontaneous but age has made me less so. I get more tired and can't get out much in the middle of the week.

1) I've raised my 3-yr old daughter. I like to think I've done a good job. I'm a teacher and I did very well in my first year, last year, judging by my standardized test scores.

2) I can't remember much, but I do know that once I made my friend across the street drink wet cement. I thought it was funny at the time. Now I think someone should've cracked my upside the head with a metal baseball bat.

3) I got arrested after a crazy night of partying. I won't go into further details here. :-)

4) I have no creativity whatsoever. I wish I did. So, my answer is, nothing.

5) Excellence is more valuable, because in that case you wouldn't need to improve. Improvement can make you feel good; but I want to engineer who designed the safety features in my car to be excellent at it, not a C+ student who improved from D -.

6) I almost never watch TV. I don't even have cable. I watch movies a lot, though.

7) Hundreds. As a teacher, there's a lot I have to read for my job. I also read tons of newspapers, articles on the internet, magazines and non-ficiton books; and I read a novel every now and then.

8) Nope.

9)Not really. But five years ago I certainly thought I'd be farther than I am now in my career.

10) I'm not at all. I think it's a good quality, though, and I wish I could be more so.

64. my answers
1) What's something you've done in the past 3 years that you're very proud of? Fathered my daughter, who just turned two and is doing very well

2) What's the naughtiest thing you did before the age of six? stole a pack of football cards because OJ Simpson was on top

3) What's the naughtiest thing you've done after the age of 16? probably frequenting strip clubs after my ex wife filed for divorce and receiving numerous lap dances

4) What's the most creative thing you've done in the past year? got some Letters to the Editor published in a fairly large newspaper

5) Which do you think is more valuable, excellence or improvement? Why? improvement. I would rather work with a person that is working hard to improve, even if they started off at the bottom, than somebody who is excellent, but lazy

6) How much TV do you watch regularly? What's the worst thing you like to watch? What's the best thing you like to watch? the TV is on often as background noise. Worst thing would be too much CNN, best at this time is Battlestar Galactica.

7) How many pages do you read on average per week? Mostly books? Mostly Newspapers? Mostly magazines? mostly newspapers since my daughter was born. I would say at least 150 pages of newspaper

8) Do you have a personal website? How often do you update? What's the URL? no

9) Have you ever made a 5-year plan for yourself? If it was more than 5 years ago, how did you do? no

10) How spontaneous are you? very UNspontaneous much of the time
