We are knee deep in Anti Phelps and the Right Wing right now. We have an election in 6 days to defeat a ballot initiative brought around by Phelps that will allow open discrimination against gays on the city for 10 years. Think Cincinnati, same law. We are small but willing to sacrifice sleep, family, clean laundry etc. until Tuesday night. We are a small, slightly pungent group and we are bulldogging our way through the community one phone call at a time. I do wish you were here.

They will not be included in the Hate Crimes laws but the most important part is that the city can ask them if they are gay before hiring them and can fire them if they are. They could also fire them if they suspect they are gay. It simply stinks but this is the home of Fred and everyone seems too afraid to actually do anything against him, he has really scared the city.
