Imagine Central Park without Christo
Imagine there's no Christo
It's easy if you try
No orange plastic on the pathways
Above us only sky

It is a lovely park, not quite Stanley Park, but nice.

I was going to add a picture, but heck, I found a whole website.

5. I think the Gates is like his wrap projects
It seems intended to frustrate one's view of the park.

Stanley is awesome, is that Vancouver?

6. Yes it is
The city founders had the forethought to save a huge swath of old growth forest right downtown. There are parts of that park that are so dense you'd never know you were in the middle of a city.

We're actually lucky, Vancouver is awash in parks.

2. "The Gates"...
they just...they just don't do it for me.

And it's sad, because I like his other work.

3. Nothing like it in spring and summer, like those photos
But I just came back from the park and the orange is really cool looking against the snow. :hi:

4. Imagine all the people
enjoying all the sky

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday they'll join us
And the saffron will be brought down.
