Poll question: Which proposals do you favor to keep kids out of your way in public |
|
There seems to be a lot of trouble with kids being in public settings on this board, so I've come up with some ideas to give grown-ups more elbow room

A friend of mine advocated hanging 'em by their toes in the walk-in freezer - until she had one of her own.
Whenever I see someone handling their kid(s) well in public, I always compliment them. That sort of thing must be encouraged.

10. A woman in a grocery store once told me I had the patience of Job |
|
in dealing with my kids.
It was kind of a backhanded compliment, but I appreciated it!

4. Every child shall have a mandetory "off" switch installed. |
|
Said off switch will be controlable by any universal TV remote control. Anyone bothered by the child can hit the off switch and the child will stay off for a mandetory 10 minute "nap". (Ie: no one can just hit "on" to immediately counter the "off.")
Don't want your child permenently napping in public? Then keep him/her out of my face.
Thank you.

5. Lock children in cupboards |
|
Build special cupboards which contain television screens (to be used for education) and feeding apparatus. Then lock children in them on their 3rd birthday (babies are too sweet to get locked away), extracting them aged 16 whereupon they spend 2 years in special camps being taught important things - like how to drink alcohol - before going to university at 18.

It's a long term solution but a good one.
In the meantime, cattle prods are actually quite effective....

For both men and women. Put them on and lock 'em up when they are at puberty. No exceptions
And no, they can't come off when they are married. They have to enter a state sponsored parenting class when they are thinking about having children.
Then both parents must take and pass the No Parent Left Behind test then the chastity belts can come off, leaving them free to procreate.

11. I picked vulgar language and rude behavior! |
|
That's my strategy, anyway. I have an NC-17 vocabulary and a pretty blue haze of cigarette smoke that repels both mosquitos AND toddlers!
