Best pleasant surprise you ever saw in concert,
I saw the band boxcar racer with the used and some punk band who's name I don't remember just so I could get out of the house. Amazingly the Used was tolerable the punk band was fun and boxcar racer was actually really good.

1. Tom Jones
I went because we were offered free tickets, but the show was excellent. I was never a huge Tom Jones fan, but he was terrific.

4. Tom Jones huh?
I'm not entirely surprised. You look at people like him and some others and even if you don't like their songs you can see from their presentation that they take their job to entertain people seriously

5. My friend
who hates music like that, went to see him with her husband. She said that by the end of the show, she wanted to fling her panties at him in honor of his great preformance (but she forgot to wear the pretty ones that night).

I saw him opening up for somebody in the late 70's, and he blew the roof off of the place...a GREAT show from someone I had barely heard of...

7. In march 2003
Me and some friends went to a Red Hot Chili Peppers gig in manchester... they were being supported by a new band called the Mars Volta... all we knew was that they were formed from the remnants of At the Drive in.

Anyway they were effin awsome...plus we had front row seats..plus the chilis were just as awesome as ever...so it was probably the best gig of my life.

8. Joni Mitchell came onstage at a Shawn Colvin concert
and did 4 songs of her own.

I happened to be in the front row.

I was crying...Joni is GOD!!!
