Poll question: 'The Sims' players: Ever killed a Sim?
Edited on Wed Feb-23-05 09:06 AM by kick-ass-bob
by accident (yes, you, Mrs Grumpy)
or on purpose (yes, you, hedges - at least, he seems that type)
Do you just like to see them struggle?
Just how sick are you??

1. I remember reading a post here...
Edited on Wed Feb-23-05 09:08 AM by leftyandproud
Someone posted that she came home and her daughter was crying because her sim died in a fire. Reason? She didn't have enough money for a smoke detector.

I don't know why but I cracked up when I read that post.
;)

3. I get a smoke detector before I paint the walls.
It may be ugly as shit, but at least they won't burn!!

2. it was terrible. He was the weakest link. Crying. Peeing.
Couldn't keep a job. Was conflicted about being in a same sex relationship. Wouldn't move out. Kept burning down the kitchen. It was a mercy killing. However, I haven't played again since.

12. actually I got bored
I have too much to do already nano-managing my own life to want to do it for a toon - plus, I found myself not only talking to myself but talking to myself in simlish occasionally on the way to work and occasionally in meetings at work to other people and I realized that what was clever and entertaining to me in a sort of masturbatory way was just plain fucking crazy to everyone else so I quit cold turkey.

It was horrible...

8. LOL . . .
I've never killed one of my own, but a party guest who stole simoleans off my money tree DID have a bit of difficulty getting out of the bathroom when the door disappeared while she was taking a shower without permission.

10. Yes, but who gets their kids taken away from Child Protection Services
Me - all the time.

Personally, the only SIM I killed on purpose was a kid because it was such a pain in the butt to raise one (and they never grow old or move out of the house!!!).

So I got to the point that when my SIM got knocked up I would just let's child protection services take the kid

13. Pause the game, build a wall around them, unpause the game.
If you really want to have some fun, make the wall only one "square" so they can't walk anywhere. Or better yet, give them a piece of furniture they cannot use because you turn it away from them. Also fun, put a coffee machine or a bar in there. Though my favorite is to give them a WINDOW to look out at the rest of the house.

wrong. At support group next week, I'm hoping we can discuss better sim caretaking. sob!

17. I made a cemetery by repeatedly burning families of 8 in a small house
Edited on Wed Feb-23-05 11:29 AM by JVS
really more of a hallway with a fireplace on the end and carpets along the bottom. Move em in, delete the door. Light the fireplace and the carpets go up. 8 tombstones. Make another family of 8, move em in, they clean the ashes from the burnt stuff before them, lay carpets and repeat. filled up the yard and finally moved an elderly couple in, had them clean up and live there as the groundskeepers.

on edit: now that i read the other replies, I fear that I will gain a reputation as the Adolf Eichman of SIMS
