That's like having a poll that says..

Your Favorite food:
1. Pizza
2. dog poop
3. ear wax

Edit: Oops, looks like some people are voting for 'dog poop'. :P

4. I second and third this statement.
Anyone who has ANY kind of fundamental knowledge of music can't dispute it, and it's NOT a matter of taste at all.

3. I picked Zep, even though I personally like Sabbath more.

Zeppelin was much more influential and much more talented. In other words, they were a better and more important band. Now I, subjectively, like Sabbath's music better, but that doesn't mean anything. Zeppelin's the better band.

5. Would have gone immediately for Black Sabbath (best not
abbreviated BS) when I was a kid.

Then I grew up ... and Ozzie felt free to express himself.

Zeppelin all the way.

6. How exactly does Deep Purple make this list?
I could see if you put Tool on there, or maybe even Nirvana, but Deep Purple?

8. Zeppelin, Sabbath and Deep Purple were the unholy trinity of
hard rock in the early 70's.

9. Alright, that's fine...
I had to ask because usually Zeppelin and Sabbath are listed 1-2 as the top rock bands of all time.

10. I voted for Led Zeppelin
They're good, majorly influential, and I'm familiar with most of their stuff.

I like Deep Purple a lot, though, but I've only heard a couple of their albums.
