Collar Bone Breaks?

I broke my clavicle (collar bone) about 6 weeks ago while snowboarding. Has anyone done this? I'm receiving treatment and all that, but I was wondering if it hurts more as it heals/comes together (my bone is broken in half and displaced so it overlaps.)

1. I was 5 when I broke mine.

I remember it hurt for awhile whenever I tried to move my arm, and I couldn't sleep on that side, either. But, I seem to remember it getting better over time. It was not a bad break.

2. I broke mine in a Jeep wreck in the 60s.

I wore a figure-8 brace for several weeks. I don't remember it being that bad. However, I had other injuries in that wreck that were more painful.

I was a VR sailor myself. VR-24 Det, Rota, 66 - 69.

We operated seven SP-2Es out of NAF Cam Rahn Bay. Most of our missions were night ECW on the Ho Chi Mihn Trail in Laos.

7. Broke mine back in High school

Took eight weeks to heel I think.Mine wasn't as bad as yours though.As best I can remember after the first few days it wasn't that painful,I'd have it checked to make sure everything is okay.
