Cinnibon microwave popcorn?.........................

:wtf:

I absent-mindedly picked this stuff up the other day when I was shopping. I was going for the Honey Butter variety, and I didn't know I came away with this stuff until I got home.

Popcorn. With frosting. One might ask, at what point does a snack like popcorn lose its intrinsic value as a whole food? Well, Ol' Orville has provided us with the answer so we can sleep at nights now. And the answer is: when you add frosting. Maybe the food chemists thought: "Hmm, corn flakes are just boring old corn, until Kellogg's added frosting and then they were "Mmmmm......Great!", so why can't we do the same with popcorn? Its corn so the equation should still work!" And thus, OR's Cinnibon popcorn with yummy frosting was born.

Has anyone tried this stuff? Was my subconscious doing me a favor by steering my hands to the popcorn treat of the century, or has it done me yet another disservice, like the time that lemon breakfast bars sounded good?

Where did you find it?
Can't find it here in Denver anymore--not for myself, but for a friend who really loves it. Too sweet for me!

2. I can't picture any scenario in which I would consider frosted popcorn
to be the treat of the century.

Then again, caramel corn isn't bad, so I guess sweet popcorn does have potential.

However, I don't know if the cinnamon part would work for my tastebuds (I'm guessing that Cinnabon also implies cinnamon as the actual roll from Cinnabon would).

I don't know, I wouldn't buy it, but it might be worth tasting :).

10. Nope. It's just plain . . . ewww.
I like it salty or plain, but not sweet.

6. Sounds like it's supposed to be cinnamon popcorn balls...
That frosting pouch looks to ingrediants with the consistancy of the corn syrup usually found in popcorn balls; the popcorn is going to be sticky anyway with the butter, "flavoring", sucralose, and cinnamon in the popcorn bag.

Apparently, it's not anywhere as decent as normal kettlecorn.

7. A future exhibit in the museum of failed products.
Not too distant future, either...

You know they've hit the bottom of the creativity barrel when they start combining two or more products hoping that the synergy will create something new and wonderful -- instead of disgusting.

8. I tried it. It's okay.
I bought it because my daughter LOVES Cinnabon, and we don't have any around here.

It's too sweet for me (For microwave popcorn, I prefer Pop Secret Homestyle), but it's not too bad.
