What's the lowdown on Nutro cat food?
I live in a verrry small town, with a pet store that thinks Science Diet is exotic cat fare. I don't like SD, and will buy some Artemis or Wellness next time I get to a store with more options, but I got a few Nutro samples from the pet store and the cats seemed to like it, even my ultra finicky boy.

I know there's a very long discussion in the Pets group, but I didn't see much on Nutro (or I didn't read very carefully) ;-)

Any opinions?

4. Well...
Since you'll buy Artemis or Wellness when you can/must...who cares? Nutro is good, but not the best. I also think that Nutro's head monkey is a Bushbot. I may be wrong...nay...I HOPE I'm wrong.

Nutro------good food, in that it's better than IAMS/Euk/Purina/etc...

5. another Nutro drawback; it's a RED company
all their donations go to the GOP. Plus, they don't use human grade ingredients like Wellness and Artemis-so your kitties are eating what's unfit to feed to you, which isn't a very comforting thought.

National pet Pharmacy has some good deals on various holistic foods, including Artemis, Wellness, Organix, Newman's own, Halo, Prairie and many others. I think their address is www.nationalpetpharmacy.com
