Hey M*A*S*H fans
The series finale is on twice tomorrow. Hallmark Channel, 3pm CT, and 10pm CT.

1. Thanks for the heads-up
I haven't seen the series finale in quite a while.

2. I don't think I've seen it since it aired originally in 1983.
Hallmark has been showing four episodes every weeknight in sequential order. I think they're starting over on Friday with the pilot.

15. It used to be available on video
I rented it a couple of times, but it's been a while. It's probably hard to find on video now, though. But with the DVD's coming out at a regular clip and with them being more than halfway through the series, perhaps it will be out on dvd before too long. :D

3. I've been watching it on Hallmark for a couple of months and I'm reminded
of just how wonderful this series truly was. I can honestly say, it is the most important show I've ever seen on television. The acting was flawless, the writing brilliant, and it has held up to the test of time. I enjoy each episode today just as much as I did 30 years agoand the anti-war themes are even more relevant today than they were in the late '70's, early '80's.

M*A*S*H was a class act, the best television has ever offered, IMHO.

4. I think it ran two seasons too long...
By the time Jamie Farr had his own card in the title credits, they had run completely out of ideas.

That said, the latter episode where Col. Potter is the last survivor of his WW1 tontine, and drinks a toast to his old buddies, makes me bawl like a Japanese girl at a Cheap Trick show.

14. Yeah, even the corny jokes are funny to me
Too many good memories of watching it as a kid, and then the reruns.

6. That episode is hard for me to watch.
The scene with Hawkeye on the bus is almost too much to bear.

16. He gathers a small band of Koreans (small spoiler).
and teaches them to play a classical piece. Something beautiful in a time of death (I think it was a piece by Mozart).
They stuggle to learn it. Finally they play it for him, beautifully as they drive away, they die, he cries.
I cry too!
