Goooood Morning DU!
Edited on Thu Feb-24-05 06:41 AM by BlondieK143
How is everyone this morning?? Have some :donut: and tell me how your day is going so far. As for myself, today is my last day of work until Monday! WOO HOO!!! It's been 4 months since I've had a day off from both jobs on the same day! :D So here's another "Gooood Morning" for Friday and hope you all have a WONDERFUL weekend!

(on edit: A special THANK YOU to those of you who were so kind about me posting my pic yesterday, you all ROCK!)

29. Hers was long before then!
And she thinks that she can get away with it. She has the angelic look to her-big blonde curls, blue eyes and dimples. People seem to give her what she wants and then they say to her "Don't you look like Shirley Temple".

4. Morning Blondie!
What a cutie you are! If I had a daughter, I would want her to be just as cute and sweet as you!

That's great that you have the weekend off! It's not easy working two jobs - and it's even tougher to get time off from both! Hope you have some fun stuff planned for the weekend.

:bounce:

It's another chilly morning - 18 degrees! It's supposed to "warm" up to about 35 (I think that's what I heard). Hopefully Spring is just around the corner :hi:

Have a great day and a great weekend!!! :loveya:

10. Hi xmas74,
I work for my county's mental health office. Our Local is in the midst of negotiating our next contract and I think it's gonna be a long haul. Lots of issues on the table this time - biggest one being healthcare.

18 degrees?? Holy crap! That's gotta suck! I guess you get used to it after awhile, but I'm afraid I'd freeze to death if I had to put up with 18 degree weather.

Have a wonderful day and weekend!!!

I'd love to come to Boston sometime. I've never been. It would be cool to crash one of your Meetups. :-)

Probably not April. I'll probably be in Toronto sometime that month with Doug.

I've never been either so that's why I'm so excited! Though with sniffa, matcom, and GOP in the same room, I'm not sure how I'm going to control myself! :P Maybe it's a good thing you're NOT coming. You won't get to see me make a flirting ass out of myself. hehe. How long are you and Doug staying in Toronto? Things still going good on that front?

Hey, say :hi: to those guys for me, ok? Plus, that Stop the Morans guy will be there, I think. That's REALLY going to push the craziness level. :-)

It depends on how much time I can get off...probably a couple of days. I could stretch the time into 4 days or so. :-)

so ... I'm still doin my hibernation act.

Yesterday, my house-mate and I went shopping for car touch-up paint. We are going to paint feathers on my Trike over the next few weeks before I start doing the "poker runs" this year.

39. I'm expecting something wonderful
My house-mate is very talented and besides - she's practicing on my trike first until she sells her Harley Sportster and buys her V-Rod. She is day-dreaming about painting on her new bike.

We were bummed out about not being able to "ride" so I shared a way of getting through the winter with her - - - An old boyfriend had a saying "there are only two seasons - the boat's in the water and the boat's outta the water" and he would spend his spare time in the off months hand wrapping and rebuilding his fishing rods. It was a labor of love that took lots of time, patience and very little money.

That's the trick - "spending time without spending money" - it's a good one once you learn the knack of it.

btw - I remember a time back in my "type A" lifestyle when I was working 3 jobs at the same time - and I still found time to enjoy looking at the sunrise

It's weird how the smallest things sometimes give the biggest rewards, isn't it?

45. bonding with a best friend
It IS the SMALL things that count.

We have been friends through - break-ups, illness, good times and bad. We don't always agree but we respect our right to different opinions. We've had some heated discussions because we are both intelligent strong minded individuals and we both grow in some way from the exchange of ideas.

Bringing an unexpected smile to someone else's face is is one of my fondest pastimes and one of my biggest rewards.

Its the day-off of one of my office-mates, and the other one is ill so all peaceful and filled with beautiful music.

Astonishingly this has not lead to me wasting loads of time, infact I have only just come onto D.U. and it's after 2p.m.

I'm also off work tomorrow, long week-ends are great. :bounce:
