Anteater in Rio!
Smack in the middle of an über-urban area! Does this place rock or what?

http://cora.blogspot.com/2005/02/pra-tudogeeeeeeeeeeeeeeente-olha-que.html

The Travolta pose is when it feels threatened (i.e. someone starts sweeping the floor closer than 10 feet from it).

The blog is in Portuguese, but feel free to comment in English if you like. Tell the blogger Jay Cee Cee Why Cee said hi.

3. That's not a Travolta pose...
That anteater has seen 'the Matrix' too many times!

5. Wow!
Talk to DS1, he's one of the cleverest Photoshoppers on DU.

I'd suggest he combine the "Travolta pose" with matcom's pug, for a little cheek-to-cheek dancing.

And my portuguese isn't too good, but did the blogger really say he'd like to go to dinner with the anteater?

6. That is really unfortunate
When you start seeing "wildlife" in urban environments and habitats that are not usually associated with those animals it means one thing: encroachment, destruction of it's native habitat. It has to go further out of it's natural feeding area to look for food. Sorry to be such a downer, but those pictures are indicative of the destruction of the South American rainforests.
