Fanboys the world over will still fork over their money no matter how much they bitched, moaned, complained about, and hated the first two.

Only now instead of saying "...just you wait until Episode 3...that's where it's all going to come together and the magic will happen" they'll just hang their heads in their hands and cry at all the wasted time.

9. now the first 3 were good and lucas wrote them

he's had the basic (atleast) story line mapped out since the 70's, the first 3 made were the meat and potatoes of the 9 part series, they also called for the easiest ammount of special effects, wich were his limitation at the time, movies have slow beginnings, and i hope this one does a good job of tieing the trilogies together, i know the clone wars miniseries gave me some hope

11. I understand the gripe with the first movie.

But episode 2 was not bad. If anything its better than fucking episode 6. Everyone I knew left the theater satisfied with episode 2, but then 2 weeks later suddenly its complete crap. There's just this huge mysticism around 4, 5, and 6. Guess what? The original trilogy wasn't a masterpiece of film making either.

Let's see, the new trilogy has:

Lightsabers
Yoda
A one dimensional story
Space Ships
Bounty Hunters
Bad Actors
Good Actors
Anthropomorphic filler characters
A whiney little bitch as the main character


Yeah, looks like all the elements of the original are there. I don't see what the hell the complaints are about.

For the last two movies. Yeah, I know, action movie, you don't see it for dialogue, blah blah blah. But the dialogue was SO bad. "I don't like sand....you're not like sand..." Ugh.

Further, this is freaking star wars. They had their pick of who to cast as Anakin, and Hayden Christenson is the best they could do??? Dammit, it's not fair! Especially because we KNOW that Darth Vader is so damn cool.
