You know, I really miss snow
living in the South has made me really miss it.

I know you guys living in the north scorn it, and take it for granted.

But I really miss it.

All we get here is ice.

1. How about a big mushy slushball?
That's what we got here in Richmond. Nothing sticked to the roads just crappy mush everywhere.

If a front comes from the West (over the mountains)we get ice-serious ice storms over the last 10 years

If a front comes up (or down) the coast we get snow.

This one came from the SouthWest so we got both.

 :grr:

3. Richmond, Va.? Used to live in Williamsburg.
Now farther South. Avg. annual snowfall here is 1 inch. And I like it that way!

2. Yer nuts, genuinely!
I lived 25 years in Illinois. I love the South! I did my time shoveling.

One tends to forget how it feels along about now up North...you've been cooped up a long time now, and the fun part of new snow has worn off. A lot of what is on the ground is now dirty gray snow, and yer sick of jumping yer car off at least once a week. Plus, yer boyfriend just broke off a piece of plastic in yer car door lock trying to unfreeze it!

No thanks!

4. Yes -- I am nuts
but I still miss snow.

As for shoveling it -- hire a teenager to do it for you.

9. Me too
I want a day off! :)
Nothing like building a fire and curling up with my little doxie and lounging away the day on the couch.

Oh well, I know people say that winter isn't over so you never know, but I say maybe next year....:(

14. I live in the North, and I don't scorn it
or take it forgranted. I like having 4 seasons, and snow is a part of that.

15. I think what I miss most is walking in it
you know, late at night.

The whiteness is so beautiful, and you can almost hear your footsteps.

16. I used to live on a very quiet street
And late at night when it snowed, you could actually hear the snow flakes falling into the already fallen snow... that is when you'd stop walking and didn't have to listen over the crunch of the snow beneath your boots....
