I've never been so excited about one of my friend's TV shows.

My best friend is an actress. She's a really great actress and I'm proud of her, but I've never really liked any of the shows she's been on.

I happen to love the whole Law & Order franchise and I'm so excited that Amy, my best friend, is a co-star on the new Law & Order series.

yeah, it sucks when you don't want to watch the things that your friends are involved in. I have many friends in the film industry, and I've even missed some movies that a friend DIRECTED. It's much easier to have lunch with your pal when you are genuinely interested in their projects!
