The jeweller, 3D Gold, was struck off the Hong Kong Tourism Board's good service accreditation scheme after 41 people complained about the shop in the Kowloon district.
Staff at the store, which claims to attract 5,000-6,000 tourists each day to the pricey potty, were impolite and had tried to stop customers leaving, the organisation said.
The jeweller will be taken off Tourist Board literature circulated to thousands of travel agents and promotions agencies around the world.
The toilet, built in a bathroom gilded with 24-carat gold, was inspired by Communist leader Vladimir Lenin who said in 1921 that toilets of gold would serve as a useful reminder of the waste of capitalist warfare.
