13. My dh actually met Mary Ann!!
This was at a book signing in a huge megamall. The line to see her stretched out of the store and about 1/4 mile into the mall. There were guys there with roses, and one person brought a coconut for her to sign. She hugged my dh, I took their picture, and she signed her cookbook. It was way cool! (He had to sit down afterwards... :)

Oh, and a scruffy teenage couple were walking by and saw the sign announcing she was there. The girl rolled her eyes and made a derogatory comment. And the guy - stood stock still and said 'Mary Ann???' in a yearning voice. The girl hustled him away - it was hilarious!
