Cats in heat driving me NUTS!!!!!
OK, we have two female cats up for shots, however the vet cancelled, they couldn't squeeze them in. So while I'm trying to reschedule the appointment, one of them goes into heat, so now we are into the 2nd week, and now the OTHER one is in heat, its driving me up the wall. The Vet said they need their shots before they can be fixed, right now I have thoughts of doing it myself!!!!!!! Two weeks after the shots, WTF type of shit is that, that means that they are going to drive me nuts for another month, month and a half at best!!!! Anybody know any home remedies of sorts to alleviate the cat's symptoms, kinda like a Midol for cats or something?

1. Ummmm...Both of my females were fixed, wormed,
and given shots all in the same day. They're both fine. I feel your pain, and am glad all of mine are fixed....that incessant BAWLING!

or a spray bottle,
fill with water
and blast them.

It won't stop the yowling, but you'll feel better.

3. Find a new vet.
Also, cats can be spayed while they are in heat. Get it done, NOW.

6. See that's the thing....
Need to synchronize it with my paychecks, hence the two weeks remark. I don't have the 400 dollars to burn on this, its hard to do it as it is. We my have to go to a more expensive vet to get the shots, because the other is swamped, its a pain in the arse.

8. Do you have a rescue near you?
Usually they can coordinate lower cost spays and are more than happy to do so to prevent even the slightest chance of an unwanted litter.

10. Yep, they were the ones who cancelled...
on the shots, but the still charge, like 75 bucks a pop. Very annoying!

13. I think they do, but its...
Somewhere around 75 for the shots, 75-80 for the spray and they have a waiting list, which means that if you want it done NOW you have to wait like a month or so.

11. Some animal shelters give out vouchers
that take off $20 or so dollars, depending on if it's a male or female.
