Poll question: Workplace etiquette: Is giving the finger ever appropriate?
Just wondering how people felt about such a hypothetical situation.

1. To coworkers? To clinets/customers?
Also depends on the work environment, the coworker, etc.

It just depends.

:P

4. Not advisable, better to be subtle about it.

In a workplace, we can be snide, insulting, contemptuous, condescending, back-stabbing, etc. as long as we do it in a subtle, "mature", and "professional" manner.

But don't raise your voice, don't cuss, and don't give the finger. Don't be overt about it. That's a no no.

But do we really want to be snide, etc.?

5. guess I'm about to get the boot then.
One of the guys I work with is so incompetent, it drives me insane.
He's a true bs'er, and they're buyin' it.

7. Depends
If you and some co-workers were just joking around. If done in anger, then no.
