the next is The Sting. Robert Redford is an excellent director, and a wonderful person, but his acting sucks if he's not boosted by very good actors, like Paul Newman, and Meryl streep.

15. yeah, he was at the top of his craft in that film, its my choice too

loved the book which was shorted from 7 days to 3 for the film.

I think its redford's best movie.

Even Robert Redford couldn't save "Out of Africa". That movie coupled with "The English Patient" have to be the ultimate in snore-fests. My husband and I were within the first few years of our marriage, but I took a risk and asked him, "Does this movie suck, or what? Want to leave?" He replied, "I thought you'd never ask. LOL

If only Robert Redford knew martial arts like Steven Segal or Chuck Norris. THEN he'd be the perfect actor. :P

9. An obscure one: The Hot Rock

Dated about 1972, it stars Redford and a bunch of other people as a
gang of rather inept jewel thieves.

Its a pretty entertaining movie, and it contains a scene that is amazing
in retrospect: At one point the gang is flying through Manhattan in a
helicopter, and flies by the World Trade Center as it is being BUILT!
