North East DUers - I'm offering you refuge
I just saw your weather report - you poor things. It's cold and snowy. I'm sure you must be just about done with winter.

Come to Vancouver. Our flowers are blooming. The sun is shining.

4. have you finally finished that teleporter?
we got another 6 inches in boston. i was walking out my front door with 2 cds i burned last night that i was very excited about listening to on the way to work. as soon as i opened the door and put my foot on my front step, i went flying. cds and keys went up in the air, and i ended up on my ass 3 stairs down. took me almost 5 mins to find my keys under the snow. needless to say, i feel like an asshole for living here right now :D

Maybe Will can hook you up.

I'd kiss your injury better, but I think your girlfriend might object. Did the cd's survive?

9. i think that you've said that term "girlfriend" more than i have
, and i've been dating her for 4 months :P the cds did survive, but they had ice on them, so i had to warm up the car, thaw the ice off of them, and then play them. noone should live like this:D i think this may be my last winter here.

You seem to be having 'relationship issues.' I predict this is not the woman you'll be growing old with.

I don't know if I could hack even one winter there. I don't even have a proper winter coat.

13. Sure.
I've got a huge collection of teas to choose from. Two kinds of hot chocolate. I think I can even muster up some hot apple cider. Coffee I'm a little hit or miss with, but I've got 3 coffee houses and several restaurants within a 1 block radius.

I have milk and dark chocolate. I think I have some marshmallows somewhere too, if you're into that kind of thing. I also have a selection of spirits that can be used to add variety to the beverage.

overlooking the water. And how nice of you to issue the invitation.

Sometimes, based on what I hear about the place, Vancouver seems kind of like heaven on Earth. I can see why you like it so much, and really want to get out there some day.

thanks!

26. Let's see
Bard on the Beach is great. Shakespeare in a tent on the beach. The back of the tent is open and there is an amazing view of the water and mountains. The sun sets during the performance.

In late July and early August, there is a fireworks competition in English Bay. The fireworks are set to music. It's fun, but don't go if you don't like crowds. I'm lucky, I can see them from my apartment.

Our Museum of Anthropology has a great collection of artifacts from West Coast Native cultures.

Here's a good link for activities in BC

http://www.bcpassport.com/index.php

The cops did shut down a store that was selling weed. It was pretty much a weed store. Strictly speaking, the business wasn't legal. It didn't get shut down until the store got covered on the news. I'm not a smoker but I would say pot is pretty much given a pass here by law enforcement.
