I nominate MY RAINBOW LIFE by Dekoboko Hajime (John Zorn) and Yamatanka Eye off the NANI NANI disc. Name yours!

I'm biased b/c Brian is a buddy of mine from high school and college, but even with that bias, he is still one of the best drummers in jazz and quickly becoming one of its best composers as well.

<<ON EDIT>>

You said composition, so I will go with "Red River Revel" or "Mohave." "Red River Revel" b/c it is something I experienced growing up and it is so familiar to me and "mohave" b/c the pedal steel solo in there is tough to beat.
