After Jimmy Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, they published a little book called
The Nobel Peace Prize Lecture by Jimmy Carter. In it contains the speech he gave for his acceptance along with a few other notes from the Citation from the Nobel Peace Prize folks, Carter's Speech and a few notes from the author. It's a damn small book, but all the proceeds from this little book help fund the
Carter Center, which is Jimmy Carter's organization that helps promote peace and democracy throughout the world.
So if you have an extra $12 bucks to burn, why not stop by your local independent bookstore or go to the DU Bookstore and shop Amazon (which gives a small percentage to DU) and pick up a copy of this book. Jimmy Carter was the first person that got me interested in politics and it was him and Barbara Jordan(who was the keynote address speaker at Jimmy's 76 convention) who made me the democrat I am today.
