2. she was skinny as hell
was almost blind and when she walked she was almost falling every time. It was hard to see her like that.

7. Wow
I guess she's better off, at least she's not suffering any more. I think the average age for cats is to live to about 15? I'm not quite sure.

I have an older cat, a grey male about 10 years old. He's really a sweetheart. He's in good health right now, and if anything happened to him I would be so sad.

Maybe it's a little early to suggest this, but sometime soon I would get another cat. I know they all have different personalities and they are not the same, and no cat can really replace the cat you just lost.

But I think in time it will help.:)

10. you have more years with your sweetheart
I know cats who lived to be 20.

my cat lived the last years with my mom because I was living in small places where I couldn't keep the cat (she went nuts if she couldn't go out) and because I wasn't home that frequently. Traveling on the weekends etc.
My problem now about getting a cat is that my bf hates cats and because he lives about 2hrs away from me I am gone over weekends also. Not a good surrounding for a cat.
But I know for sure that I will get a cat again.

6. thank you
yes she was beautiful but a real devil. When I was younger I used to have scratches on my arms all the time. She never learned to retreat her claws while playing. When petting her from one minute to the next she would have enough and scratch and hiss.

8. She sounds like my grandkitty..
She'll be all purring and happy then wham..

It's really funny with my granddaughter. Granddaughter will be petting her, walk away, come back and all of a sudden kitty gets an attitude and begins to growl and hiss. At that point, kitty has set a perimeter around her of about 2 ft and no one dares overstep it.

12. cats definitely have personality
I never know what hit my cat off when she started hissing and growling. Guess she just had enough and wanted to be left alone. She used to hiss at my brother every time he came visiting my mom. And he only came maybe 2-3 times a year. She was still upset because he teased her very bad when she was a kitten

9. She looks like my Domino
short for Dominatrix. That's her name officially. She has a brother named Yogi, and I call them my little hellions. They are into everything all the time. I love 'em.

11. her name was Octavia
we took a name book, picked out names, wrote them on papers and then my dad picked on of the papers. That's how she got her name

13. That's a pretty name
She was really beautiful. Have you ever heard the legend that says that our pets come back to us over and over again in life? Domino is so much like a dog my aunt had years ago, named Jeb, right down to how she looks at us. I usually don't believe in much of anything, but Domino is an awful lot like Jeb.

14. never heard of that legend
we had another cat before her. But he was the contrary to her. Sweet, loved to be petted for hours, nice to everyone (even strangers).
I will see what cats will show up in my future. It sounds like your cat has the personality of a dog????

15. She does
Right down to her attitude. Jeb used to get an attitude if he did something embarrassing. She does it too, but then again that is a cat thing. On the other hand, she growls when she hears something outside and runs to the window to look for what made the noise, more like a dog would. Actually, the legend says that more than one pet is given to each person in life and they are put here to keep us company. I'd definitely adopt another cat. They'll show up. My aunt says that I have cat mama on my forehead written so only the animals can see it. Haha. It's the ones that take up with you that are your animal spirit guides according to the legend. I usually don't believe in much of anything, like I said, but that one seems to agree with me as I've seen it with Domino.
