I have heard a few complaints that FF pop-up blocker was being fooled by ads using javascript to fool newer blockers.

6. I got that notice a little earlier but I'm a little confused.

My Firefox had been updated some weeks back, and is designated: "Mozilla 1.7.2". That's seems to be a 'higher' version than "1.0.1". Am I missing something here? I thought that Firefox and Mozilla were the exact same product. I was reluctant to download the "latest" version until I know where I stand. I was planning on emailing them, but I may get an answer from DU a lot sooner.

13. HELP!!

I don't know whether an upgrade to my present Mozilla would better than the latest Firefox or not. But at least I know NOW, that the products are different, although the lineage seems to be the same. I can make a more informed web search and find out what I need to know.

It would have taken very little effort on the part of the good people over at Mozilla, to have worded it so there would be NO confusion in the minds of the general users. That they apparently regarded such actions as "un-cool!!", seems to be the hallmark of the Nerd-Mind.

Mozilla is a browser, e-mail, chat, and newsgroup program. Firefox is just a browser. It is small and fast. If you don't use the other crap that comes with Mozilla I would switch to Firefox.

If you use Thunderbird I can't see a reason not to switch to Firefox. I would if I was you. Firefox seems to be the main project now so I imagine it will be developed faster then Mozilla.
