Who's coming over? I'm having lasagna, games and movies.

Dinner: Lasagna (homemade and VERY cheesy), fresh salad, garlic toast, wine (Kendall Jackson), beer, etc. Brownies for dessert (sorry, normal ones). Hazelnut coffee for those inclined to have it with the brownies.

Dominoes and cards. (Mexican train, spades, hearts?)

Movies, especially old movies. We're thinking possibly Dr. Strangelove or the Frankenstein movie with Gene Wilder and Teri Garr. We've got tons of DVDs, though, so there's a lot to choose from, and the complete Benny Hill collection just came in from NetFlix ("Oh do you have an Oedipal complex?" "No I rather like cats!" <---one of my favorite parts of a Benny Hill sketch).

Come on over! Forget about the state of the world for a few hours!

Oh I have to tell you about my coffee table--it's an antique former dining room table we got for forty bucks at a garage sale, cut the legs down on to make into a coffee table, and stripped and re-stained it. It has THREE leaves, so it turns into the biggest coffee table you've ever seen, so don't worry, there's enough room for your drink, brownie and all the games on the table. (I think it ends up being six feet long with all three leaves--it's oval.)
