At the national level, the National Bureau of Standards within the U.S.
Department of Commerce established the National Conference on Weights and
Measures to foster fair trade and ensure the uniformity of weights and
measures across the country. This year's theme is "100 Years of Ensuring
Equity in the Marketplace."

I'll meter myself at first, but then I'll Amp things up, and have a high-Voltage celebration. Of course I'll probably Hectare a few people for still inching along, using the English system, miles behind me--but an ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure, so I'll just buy a few pretty Joules for my girlfriend, and hope they measure up.
