What was your happiest moment at Walt Disney World ?

If you've been to WDW in Florida. What was your most miserable moment ? How about your kids or grandkids ?

Serriously, though, I was on the "El Rio Del Tiempo" (?) boat ride in EPCOT.

11. Wow ... that was the first thing that came to mind.

My folks took me and my family down for Thanksgiving last year.

I hate crowds so I had to put up with it. My family really enjoyed it, which means my folks really enjoyed it.

The absolute worst part of the trip was seeing the AWOL billboards on Rt 4. I had all I could do to NOT drive into a bridge.

I have been to WDW with my family a number of times. I prefer an old fashioned amusement park with a bunch of roller coasters. WDW just seems to be to much hype and sell with long lines.
Although the kids do enjoy seeing the characters and the rides.

I liked it enough when it first opened but now I can't stand it. I have 4 boys and they hate it as well. To all of us, it's old and boring. We prefer Islands of Adventure.

8. Seeing my dad turn white as a ghost after Space Mountain.

My only time there, years ago as a young teenager, conned my dad into going on Space Mountain with me. Had no idea what he was in for, couldn't see him at all while on the ride, but nearly had to carry him out after it was over. The color finally came back to his face after about an hour.

If I had ever returned, though, my best memory would be leaving, because I couldn't believe how much it cost back in the 70's, and I wasn't even the one forking over the cash. Don't even want to think about how expensive it has become since... I'll find better things to waste my money on, thank you.

I went as a kid, and talked my father into going on space mountain. He does not do roller coasters. He was white as a sheet (as my mother put it) when we got off.

I think that may have been the first year Space Mountain was open.

18. Space Mountain couldn't have been more than a year or two old

when we went. Guess something about not seeing where you're going makes the anti-coaster crowd even sicker.

I've been there once on a college choir trip. OK, I will allow the fact that it was February and very chilly didn't help, but we went to Busch Gardens one day and WDW the next and I had so much more fun at BG. I had this nagging feeling that Mickey Mouse was going to sneak up on me and mug me. At least it would have been a faster way to give them all my money than to spend the entire day there.

13. I love the Haunted House, also Pirates of the Caribbean.

At Epcot, I like the French Pavillion, where you feel like you are on the hot air balloon. Also, the French pastries are to die for!

Worst moment? Watching two guy get in a fight on Main Street U.S.A.

We lived in Palm Beach and took the kids to Disney World about twice a year.

Glad we're out of Florida and over the Disney vacations.

15. Escaping

after a hot day when all the air conditioning in the park broke down. I was getting queasier by the minute, and we were trying to leave and/or find a restroom, when we got stuck in one of those stupid jolly character parades that go on forever and block all the paths.

When it was finally over, I almost made it to a restroom - but not quite -- and tossed my cookies all over one of their immaculate little flowerbeds. We hotfooted it out of there and made it to the car and headed for Tampa.

Along the way we discovered all 4 of us had food poisoning from some (non-Disney) motel breakfast. We spent that night hurling like never before. To liven things up, the place we were staying was next to a police station, and we heard their radio reports about a tornado that was approaching the area and ripping up cars and roofs.

We lay there unable to move, all puked out, almost praying for a swift death. The tornado passed close by, but didn't get us.

True story.

watching that Tinkerbell thing where she "flies" across the air from one bulding to the other.....it was so real to me back then. LOL

I have, OTOH, been to Disneyland, and that was more than enough Disney to last me a lifetime.
