Any Loreena McKennitt fans out there? I'm listening to "The Mask and
Mirror" right now.

I still think that her best is "The Lady of Shallot" on "The Visit", but "Dark Night of the Soul" is just heart-breaking!

12. I enjoy her stuff
The first song I knew by her was "the Highwayman". Haunting, that. I don't own any of her CDs, but I listen to her a lot online!

13. Yeah, The Highwayman is great---I think it's very typical of most
of her songs--that haunting feel. Have you heard "The Lady of Shallot." I think I'll go find Tennyson's poem at the libarry now--the words are from the poem of the same name--she just did the music.

33. Highwayman is great, I used to read that poem to my daughter
my mother read it to us
her mother read it to her

so when my daughter got that CD, after she had listened to it once, she plugged in the earphones, dragged me into her room to listen,

and grinned in delight when she saw the look on my face when I recognized the poem.

Shallot are one-derful! I have it on right now!

22. You knwo, I bet it's gonna still be years!
She's not at all commerically driven, so however long it takes her to write and record, she'll take that time. At least there's something int he future to look forward to.

Thanks for the update!

19. Love her!
Got hooked when they used part of "The Mask And The Mirror" as the opening soundtrack to the movie "Jade" (movie kinda stank, but I was enthralled to stick to read the credits to find out how sang that song.)
