Remember "Confession" or "Penance" (for Catholics or relapsed ones)
Remember when you used to go to confession and ALWAYS put the WORST sin in the middle of sins? Gawd, I could laugh about this all day, and only Catholics would understand.

"Uh, Father I disobeyed by mother twice, I had 'impure thoughts.' And oh,BTW, I masturbated. And lastly, I haven't said my prayers in 2 days."

Sound familiar?

You always put the WORST sin in the middle, hoping the priest wouldn't catch it.

Course, my priest was an alcoholic and you could smell the beer from a mile away, but still I adhered to this "technique."

2. Miz t. made up "sins".
Couldn't think of any she'd actually commited, but felt obligated to come up with something.
True.

4. I did that too! As a young-en, I wasn't quite sure what really was
sinful...I knew disrespecting parents was a biggie, and I knew that, so I just gave some general ones, like impure thoughts, even though I was a tres, tres, innocnet little tyke!

5. I did too!
My First Communion missal had a list of suggested sins in the back of the book, and I would choose three at random each week. I thought I was the only one who actually LIED at confession! Whew - am I glad to know that others did too!

6. Miz t. laughed at that.
I expect there were many kids who felt "obligated".

11. I thought you not only had to list the sins but list them by number
You know...I disobeyed my mother 5 times, etc...

I would always add an extra 'lie' to cover the fact that my sin accounting wasn't strictly accurate :)

9. No! No! No! You forget the worst ones...conveniently, because God
will forgive you for all...even if you "forget". I used this option all the time. :)
