Why isn't there a DU group for performing artists yet?

I mean there's a group for artists, a group for photographers, a forum for writters...why not a group for those of you who like to put on a show...

I'm talking actors, dancers, stage technichians...

I'm no "Performing artist" myself....but I've always admired those who indulged in stage-craft...

Consider this an official group proposal.

19. What exactly is the purpose of a group?

Hoofers, Techs and "preformers" are as different as, Writers techs and researchers.

Before I turned 30, I was involved in over 50 productions Backstage and onstage and producing. Live theatre could be a very effective way to get a message across. I have given much thought to generating a live performance as avehicle to enlighten people to the election fraud cause". Theatre for me is more religion then vocation. I have many friends at many levels of success in performance, production and writing. one even performed for a President

I was privileged to work with some excellent Scenic Designers and Lighting Designers. And Longrain, I was trained working with Dry pigment and animal glue as the binder. There is nothing more fun then working with pure pigment. Painted some awesome drops Which actually allowed me to segue in to computers.

when I turned 30, between gigs, a guy hired me to place Apple II E's into education. There are interesting similarities with computers and technical theatre

I bumped into to this uber-freak "Brain on a stick", a CIELAB kinda guy. where I witnessed the birth of several color calibrated monitors, Ethernet and other funky stuff. I remember the term "feature" being defined in the original Apple manual as-- a bug defined by the marketing department. Apple was always an open system which needed to be flexible to work with other platforms, so you learned specifics about other platforms to marry communication between hardware. Coding is whole different world, as is being application specific, which I am not. I understand work-flow, Pre-press specifically.

With the maturation of technology, an 8 year old can produce a color accurate digital proof. I am migrating back to my original field.
