Anyone know anything about Workman's Compensation?
I know sick time stops but can your employer with hold vacation time & holidays that accrue. We have a collective bargaining agreement.

1. Read me
Sick time, vacation and holidays go out of the window when you are injured on the job. However, the fact that you are a union member may have some implications.

I am a workers' compensation attorney, but not in the state of New York. Therefore, my advice is only general and not to be considered specific legal advice.

You must do two things:

1. Call your Union rep and explain to him or her what has happened.

2. Call several workers' comp attorneys in your area and get some free consultations.

That is all.

2. Thanks...
my vacation time began at 1/1/05 and I was injured on 1/25/05 so those days should be banked. I also get 15 sick days at the beginning of the yr too.
