Vanity post- I am tootin my own horn
This week I probably saved the Virginia State Medicaid system about 40 grand. I diverted three psychiatric admission- through hard work, dillengence, meeting the client where they are at, offering them a person they can trust, visting one client 2 times a day and visually watching him take his meds-and he is comming out of the severe schizophrenic state he has been in. Got one person into a Methadone program on an emergency basis. And got a psychiatrist interested in studing the effects of moon phases on Mental Illness

Let the congrats come in.

11. That's awesome!
It's a great feeling to know that you have made a difference in just one person's life and to think of all the people that you've touched. Thank you for all your efforts. The world is truly a better place because your are in it.

12. Nice work
thats the way it should be done. Nice practice of community mental health service delivery. Minnesota is working to significantly reduce hospitalizations - long-term and short. Great stuff since its not just a fiscal cost savings; its also good for the consumer to stay in their community rather than be uprooted and placed in the unfriendly confines of a crisis hospital. Glad to see that premise in practice.
