I've been playing hockey for the better part of the last year. Every Sunday we'd go out, give it our all, and lose, bad. Scores would be like 9 to 1 19 to 0, etc. The last few weeks in my dek league the scores have been getting closer, but finally, FINALLY, I won a game.
It wasn't with my dek team though, it was on my new roller team. It still feels good, despite the fact that I think I seriously injured my tailbone and shoulder.
I must've been taken out like 4 times tonight. I had my face driven into the dek, I was speared in the stomach, I was hooked on the neck, and I was tripped and had my legs hooked up from underneath me.
Despite all this, nothing was called on the other team, infact, I'm the only person who got a penalty all night. I got a bullshit roughing call for hitting some kid while actually going for the puck. It wasn't even a hard hit, cause if I hit this kid hard, I would've put him in the hospital. He was smaller than me, and that's why I didn't go at full force.
I got a goal too. Top left corner on a beautifully centered wrist shot, right above the goalies glove.
I'm in agony, yet, I'm happy.
on edit: final score 9 to 4.
