What a horrid decade... if "Saturday Night Fever" had flopped, we might never had had to endure thirty more years of John Travolta. Might never had to endure Helen Reddy and ABBA and the BeeGees on Muzak everywhere. Might never have had to look at white polyester shoes. Might never have had the Pinto to worry about--or 8-track tape players. Nixon and the war would have disappeared on New Year's Eve, 1969.
