We had a great time last night! It was great to see old friends again, and to put a face to names I've known on DU for a long time. Mike and Kathy were able to come by for a quick visit (thanks, guys!). We remembered Kef and toasted the health of DU.

It was so nice to meet all of you last evening. We had a good time talking to everyone. Hopefully, we can do this again sometime. I do wish we had gotten there in time to meet Mike Malloy. Maybe next time.

The 27th Annual Athens Human Rights Festival will take place on April 22 & 23, College Square, Athens,GA. www.athenshumanrightsfest.org

The Human Rights Festival is two days of music and political/activist speakers. The event has no corporate sponsorship. Each year, a local non-profit group is chosen to benefit from any proceeds from the event. it is held outdoors in downtown Athens right across from the UGA arches. This is a family friendly event. Dogs and children are welcome!

26. Athens, GA has new non-smoking rules

After 11pm you can smoke in bars and clubs and restaurants but not before. It's working out OK so far. A few folks have been ticketed by the undercover smoking police but, mostly it's been OK. The weather is generally good here in the south, so going outside isn't too bad for the smokers. So ya'll come on down and join us next time!
