more google adword nonsense

i know i am not the only one here that has had google adword campaigns canceled due to the content of our websites. a kinder, gentler policy was enacted, and they are once again happy to take my money. but in the last few days something very curious started happening, and today it became obvious to me that there is some censorship going on.
for those that have never done this, it works like this-
you pick a list of keywords, and when those are searched, your ad shows. if they show it a certain number of times, and no one clicks, they suspend that word. i think they must have some sort of algorithm for this. some words get canned quickly, because they are frequent queries, and so a quickly try and fail. if a word is never queried, after 30 days, usually they can it. (tho, why, i do not know. it is just sitting in my queue, not bothering anyone.) some words seem to hang around for much longer, even tho they are never queried, either.
so, a few days ago, i added several new keywords, including guantanamo, gitmo, camp x-ray, and a few other incendiary topics. they got no more than a couple of queries, and they were gone. hmmm i said. (camp x-ray is still there. a little harder to pick out, i guess.)
today, i added jeff gannon, james guckert, and propaganda. AS SOON AS I ENTERED THEM, JEFF GANNON WAS PUT ON HOLD!!!!!!! :wtf:

it shouldn't have been put on hold, at any rate. after it spends some time "on trial", it goes to "on hold"
here's another whacked part- it says it is on hold- but when i googled it, there was my ad. then when i checked my summary. it still says it has been shown zero times. makes me wonder about the whole freakin thing.

they originally canceled my site, and several others, based on a policy of refusing to advertise sites that were "advocating against anyone". i think it was supposed to mean things like the klan. then they relented. they get paid for this, after all. but i would like to know more about them. and why they had to be bashed over the head to see the difference between political opposition and hate.
so, i am not supposed to ask people to click my ads (ads for other sites, that are on mine), but i don't think there is any rule against asking people to click on my own ad. it is worth the nickle to me to check up on the accounting system.
so, if anyone wants to help figure this out, google jeff gannon, and click the pinkobuttons ad is you see it.

it is now marked normal, but james guckert is " in trial"
this has made me sort out the different warnings that they give. i have been just dumping anything that drew a flag, and not paying attention to what the flag was. so, now i know. but i have never drawn any kind of flag instantly.
and just saying, support you favorite websites by giving them a click.

so, this google thing is so weird. jeff gannon is now disabled, in spite of a .3% click thru, which is pretty good. james guckert is doing, well, tho. just added a bunch of new words, and they kicked out several- alienated, deceit, derail, defame.
weird.
