What do you think "God" thinks about GWB ?

If you don't believe in God, that's cool, just a funny sort of query. I think God is appalled, but why He/She/It doesn't do anything about GWB is beyond me.

But I agree-- what a disappointment. A disappointment that the citizens of a once-great nation would allow a man such as Bush to take over their country, dismantle their once-cherished institutions and terrorize the world.

would probably smite him with a bolt of lightning, if there were such a god. If you follow the rules that god, and his ever popular son jesus, commanded people to follow, he'd already be a piece of smoldering wheat and yeast, or toast, in the vernacular.

Am I sure that god does not exist? No. However, I can't imagine a god with such all seeing and all knowing powers allowing a mutant like bush to fuck up the works without some interference to stop it. I guess I just don't like the hands off approach this deity takes, or doesn't take, with his supposed creation. Doesn't god care that george bush is a bloodthirsty monster bent on destroying the world? :shrug:

And the ever popular reply will be? "Free will", correct?

7. God has the advantage of being able to see infinitely

into the past and infinitely into the potential futures, as well as knowing the hearts and minds of everyone who has ever existed. As such, God understands the cyclical nature of evil having seen it rear up throughout history as people face choices given free will, intellect and emotion. And, it seems to me (I might be wrong) that the enlightenment of civilizations occurs only after they have lived the consequences of their poor choices. It also seems that the lessons learned are easily forgotten by future generations - hence the cyclical episodes. I would like to think that God sees a gradual upward slope of enlightenment over the course of thousands of years. It's of course very unfortunate that societies as a whole have to learn their lessons through the school of hard knocks, but apparently this appears to be the case.

With Buxh's religious compassion, I'm sure he looked for guidance before he rubber stamped the death warrants as Governer.

It would seem Jesus could have given him first hand advice.
