I had quite a conversation, off and on, over quite awhile, with someone here, regarding cats. And I was just sure that this person was male, but I recently discovered that she's not, LOL! And I posted back and forth on a thread with someone over several days. I just got it into my head that this person was female, until I finally checked her profile, and "she" is a gay man!:shrug:

I remember a thread, when I first joined, when someone, newyawker99, I think, took a bunch of names and tried to guess. She got about 50%, LOL! Some of ours are obvious, like Cat Woman's and mine, but I've been dead wrong, on more than one occasion.

As for what people look like, that's just totally impossible. We really are a pretty diverse bunch, from retirees to teen-agers, and completely international. I've run into posters from as far away as India or Russia, and the international DUers usually write English better than the rest of us here, so that's no help!:D

I also wish that we could have DU gatherings in my neck of the woods, but there are only three or four of us, that I'm aware of, from anywhere near me. We have the misfortune to live in the back of beyond, in serious Freeper country. *sigh*:shrug:
