1. I'm surprised that Anime isn't on the list
I collect hand painted Anime cels and watch way too much of it. It must be too mainstream now.

9. I think anime is too ahead of the curve for this article
Most of the things it names have a decidedly early-90's flavor, if not earlier. I get the strong impression of a 30-something waxing nostalgic about his adolescence. Just consider what it includes and what it leaves out:

-- Star Trek and Star Wars, but no Babylon 5 or Farscape or Firefly.

-- Dungeons and Dragons but no White Wolf games.

-- Comic books but no manga.

-- No anime. No cosplay. No learning Japanese in order to be able to do your own fansubs.

If you judge it according to the standards of geek cool that I raised my kids by, this list is seriously lame.

2. I figured Juggling might be on the list.
That is my addiction.

But then again, it is a hobby/skill that can actually generate revenue.

Cheers
Drifter

4. Hey, I use to play D&D and my hubby still does.
Edited on Fri Oct-10-03 03:43 PM by Rainbowreflect
We have sex all the time. When I was young & single I would only have sex with men who played. ;-)
On edit Since my husband still plays & I don't fool around I guess I still only have sex with men who play D&D.

8. What happened to the days when Ham Radio was King of the List?
I'm shocked! I've never been into ANY of the stuff on that list...

There was a time when women would run screaming into the night at the sight of an issue of "QST" or "CQ" on the nightstand....I knew guys who had no radio in their car solely because they wanted "second dates"...

How times change....

"Hey, baby, wanna come over and see my collection of Telegraph Keys?"

13. Only Everquest
and I haven't been doing much of that the last few months or so.

Might have to try replacing it with something even geekier; let me look at that list again...
