10. Two more for Carnivale
Namely, ginbarn and I. We've pretty much figured Super Size Me will take Best Documentary since F9/11 is out of the running.

12. Apocalypse Now
One of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion. Of course so is Silence of the Lambs. Hmmm... decisions decisions, Oh wait I have both of them. How about I just listen to music instead? Rolling Stones right now, maybe Almman Bros. later or something else

15. The Oscars
I never watch these award shows but I'm hooked in by the Chris Rock hype. I'm a big fan of his and I'm curious to see how he handles it, if he tones it down to much the TV will just go off. But I'll watch and since I can't take much of the regular stuff the show consists of I'll be clicking around with the remote between Chris' contributions.

17. I was born on Oscars night
(another day of course) many years ago. My mom gave me so much grief as a kid, teasing me because she missed it. I couldn't give a crap about it then, and despite all the excitement from this hear, I don't care about now...I will probably be on DU or cooking dinner.

22. Decided to watch a film from my own library and not --
-- any of the choices on tv or cable.

Picked Sidney Pollack's HAVANA, with Robert Redford, Lena Olin, Raul Julia, Alan Arkin etc.

Great film -- one of the most underrated films ever made.
