I'm bored.
:boring:

All I do is work and read and do mommy stuff. Granted, I'm moving very soon which will be a nice distraction, but really it's just more work. It's time to shake things up a bit again. Maybe I just have early Spring fever.

What should I do?

Perhaps that last thing I need anyway is more underutilized skills in that area.

5. as I always tell the children. . .
"boredom is a sign of lack of intelligence and creativity, neither of which is your problem. So go get creative."

Not that I don't empathize completely with your situation and really don't mean to be glib.

But consider drawing upon your creative skills whenever you hit a stasis and it may just help. Stir it up a bit dear.

7. I used to do lots of household projects.
Now that it's no longer my house and I'm about to move, I'm all antsy. Not because of the move, but because I'm in limbo a few more weeks. I need to buy some household stuff, but I don't want to move it twice. Arrghh.. just frustrating.

North Central Massachusetts, near the NH border.

20. Yeah, probably both.
I've been to a few already. It just takes me a little over an hour to get to Boston.

27. I actually live no where near Boston...
It takes me an hour or so to get there myself!

It's funny because, when I tell people around here I'm from MA they automatically assume I'm from Boston.

There's a whole nuther part of the state beyond 495...

I suggest www.bored.com or www.worth1000.com for a start. You could start on your biography, or write a novel or something like that.

16. Kind of good.
I've done so much journal writing and self-analysis over the past year or two, that I'm just a bit wiped out in that department.

Did you guys venture into Mallville earlier? :D

24. yea, I needed socks
since I have to sorta dress up for the new job tomorrow :D:D:D:D Picked up a couple other things too, being good americans and shopping. You could try writing some fiction, maybe something totally different from how things are for you now. Or just hang in the lounge, it works well for when I'm bored :D

Yeah, I think the DU Lounge has probably filled in too much of my time in the past few months. I'll still be around, but it's rapidly approaching a time when I need to venture forth onto some new horizons in addition.
