Poll question: I think Oscar is way to long and
should only be the TOP 10 catagories....a 2 hour special. I'm not interested in the tech awards.

1. Like them just the way they are...
And I thought Chris Rock was funnier then Billy Crystal and Whoopie Goldberg combined. And I'm hardly a teenager..

3. The movie or the TV series?
Movie: Great..

TV series: funny, when it was still a comedy..

And I wish Bill Hicks were alive to host the Oscars; THAT would have been must-see TV..

5. You have got to be kidding!
Less than three hours devoted to a YEAR's worth of movies?

It isn't enough time.

7. Fine, rob the true artists while the actor hacks get to sill their guts.
Get a clue, the "technical" awards are where the true art of film making exists.

8. The first awards ceremony lasted about five minutes.
Douglas Fairbanks simply read out the winners' names; the winners came forward to receive their awards. No acceptance speeches, no singing, no dancing, no dumb scripted jokes by presenters.

Of course, that isn't very exciting television. Then again, neither is the current telecast.
