What's a good PDA/Phone combo?

I was looking around for a decent device that does both. One of those converagence devices. I was lookin for something cheap (under $50 and they do exist although there are so few).

I was looking at the Treo 300 and the Samsung I300. Both have some advantages, though I like the Treo a bit better, but unfortunately I've heard it's kinda flimsy (the flip part breaks apparently). BTW if anyone has this, is it possible to just use it with a hands free mic/headphone if the lid/flip top breaks?

I'm not one of those people that needs the newst device, though I love little electronic gizmos. It's amazing how much they'll fall in price after 2 years (both were $400 two years ago).

1. It really depends on what service provider you have
