I have my jacuzzi inside to avoid turning blue while I'm streaking through all of that frozen white stuff. During the winter I enjoy sitting inside my hot tub looking at the snow falling ~ which ~ BTW ~ it will be doing again tonight.

8. You miss the joy of watching the steam rise and then fall as snow.

You miss the joy of an ice helmet. You miss the joy of doing nude snow angels. You miss the joy of splashing some water and watching it freeze in the air and crash as ice on the ground.

When I lived in eastern Washington, I'd enjoy one of those 5°F evenings lazing back in my back patio hot tub, gazing at Orion and watching the steam moonbows. I'd be warm enough to stand bare-butted and put the cover back on before going inside and lounging by the fireplace sipping hot chocolate while listening to Oscar Peterson. It was a tough existence, but somebody had to do it.
