He spoke of Bush only in the larger context of shunned movies...

...like "F-9/11" and "Passion..." The fact that the two most controversial (and money making) movies weren't nominated stood out like a sore thumb last night, and Chris was addressing that. Ferchistsake, he even riffed on Michael Moore's weight!

3. I caught a bit of "Fox & Friends" this morning

I was wondering what they would be complaining about.

This is the pre-actual show part (before 7 AM).


The female was saying how "sicken" she was at Chris Rock making jokes about dead soldiers ( :shrug: ) "Is that something to laugh about?" Killmeade was there saying that Rock said he wouldn't trash Bush (he did?) and then Rock started talking about F9/11 "which wasn't even nominated so why talk about it?" The female then started ready her lines that went something like "Oh and then he says that he wants to thank all the troops around the world-What is that all about? How do you make jokes and then thank them?"

I was sitting there wondering when was the last time Fox News let their viewers know the actual number of American soldiers and Marines who have died because of a lie.

The "cleaned up" awards shows are dropping ratings like shit from a goose.

Aside from all those fines the FCC is threatening everyone with, ABC is desperate to put the edge back in the Oscars before people start watching the movies and reruns on the other channels instead. It has been noticed that "Desperate Housewives" beat up the Grammys.

So a couple of people pitch a bitch at something they don't like? So what? There's got to be SOMETHING there that somebody doesn't like, but the more they write to the networks or the FCC, the more the rest of the people watch.

It's not like Murdoch and crew didn't give us "Married With Children" and the sleaziest of the reality shows. And loads of pay-per-view porn.

There's big bucks in sleaze, and the Fox people know that best.
