The great mass-culture Cycle of Life is turning: 80s detritus is turning up by the boxload at the thrift stores. Today I picked up two REM cassettes (Eponymous and Murmur) and some Calvin and Hobbes books.

9. I live in an area full of cutsey-poo antique shops.

I always find some over priced bric-a-brac in them that I remember from my mother's and my grandmother's homes that I knew they bought at dime stores, like Newberry's and Woolworth's. If only we had known.
