Which of these "classic" movie stars deserves an honorary Oscar?

Poll question: Which of these "classic" movie stars deserves an honorary Oscar?

Most of them came to fame in the 40's or 50's and with a few exceptions most of them are retired or no longer active in the industry, but, imo, they all have contributed to the industry in classic films. Also, these performers have never won an Oscar (though a few of them have been nominated), so if you were on the committee handing out career achievement honorary Oscars who would you give it to?

1. Doris Day, then Debbie Reynolds...it's one of Oscar's biggest

shames that they haven't given Doris one yet--a huge star, a brilliant actress.

6. Not so outlandish

many modern comedians credit Lewis for being inspirations to them--Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, and Steve Martin to name a few. He also was an influential director and is credited by many as inventing the video assist which is now used on every film set in Hollywood.

And yes, many comedians who followed credit Jerry Lewis.

Lewis has won the Best Director of the Year award eight times in Europe since 1960; three in France, and one each in Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and was inducted into the French Legion of Honor in 1984.

15. Price, Lorre, and Monroe are all good choices for honorary awards

if they were alive. Unfortunately like the American Film Institute the Academy doesn't give honorary awards to people who are already deceased. Price in particular lived long enough to get the honorary Oscar, but once again the Academy missed the boat.
